Services
Rock, water lines and green, set by hand
Low-water yards are the heart of it. He also lays sod, runs sprinklers and drip, and does the grading.

Rockscape and low-water yards
Boulders, cobble, lava rock and gravel in place of a thirsty lawn. The heart of what Hank builds.

How a job starts
It starts with a sketch
Hank plans your yard on paper before a single rock goes in. Here is how one job went, in the customer’s words (a sample review).
- 1
Walk the yard
“he walked the yard with a tape measure and drew the whole plan by hand on graph paper”
- 2
Ideas from past jobs
“flipped through photo albums of past jobs with us so we could point at what we liked.”
- 3
Changes, no fuss
“When we asked to move the boulders and widen the path, he redrew it on the spot.”
- 4
The build
“He was on site at seven every morning and didn’t leave until the day’s work was done.”

Hank listened to what we wanted and built exactly that. Before anything else he walked the yard with a tape measure and drew the whole plan by hand on graph paper, then flipped through photo albums of past jobs with us so we could point at what we liked. When we asked to move the boulders and widen the path, he redrew it on the spot. He was on site at seven every morning and didn’t leave until the day’s work was done. Our kids still call the dry creek “Hank’s river.”

About Hank
You call Hank. Hank does the work.
Wrenrock is one licensed landscape contractor with his own tractor, based in Phelan. No sales team and no crew you have never met.
Hank draws every yard by hand on graph paper, then builds it himself, from the first trench to setting the last boulder.
What local suppliers say (sample notes)
“We send people to Hank when they ask us who actually knows how to set a boulder. No callbacks, no complaints.”
A stone and gravel yard in the High Desert
“He knows his drip parts and buys the right ones the first time. Customers who use him come back happy.”

What neighbours say
Written for this concept site, the way real customers talk about a job well done.
We handed him a list and a few photos and he came back with a design we would never have thought of. The low-water rockscape out front looks like it was always there. He’s fussy about the details in the best way, and he finished on time.
Front and back done in one go. His price came in under the other two bids, he explained why each plant and rock would hold up in our wind, and he texted us every evening with where things stood. Would hire him again.
MTMarcus T.Oak Hills. Sample reviewI got three quotes and his wasn’t the cheapest. Glad I went with him anyway. He finished the front yard in three days, swapped two sickly shrubs for healthy ones without charging us, fixed a broken sprinkler head he spotted, and showed us how to set the new timer. It still looks great two summers later.
LBLorraine B.Phelan. Sample reviewIf you want rock and plants set by someone who cares how it looks, call Hank. Honest, easy to deal with, and the curbing is dead straight where it should be and smooth where it curves.
